Types of Partnerships

  Partners
There are various types of partners with Atlas Service Corps ranging from international citizen sector organization partners, corporate partners, academic partners, U.S. nonprofit organizations U.S. community based organizations, and student groups.

U.S. CSOs:
Atlas Corps seeks to partner with U.S. Citizen Sector Organizations in the Washington, DC area to host an Atlas Corps Fellow on a one-year Fellowship from September-August or March to February. A U.S. CSO receives a nonprofit professional from the developing world with 3-10 years experience in a similar field to volunteer at the U.S. organization full time. This individual will not only give time and talent, but also learn from the Host organization. U.S. CSOs will be required to cost-share this individual, but Atlas Corps will pay for training, health insurance and related expenses. Please see a list of our current partners here.

International CSOs:

Atlas Corps seeks to partner with CSOs in India and Colombia who can nominate nonprofit leaders in the development sector to participate in the Atlas Corps Fellowship. Fellows need to have 3-10 years of experience, be fluent in written and spoken English, and be leaders in their fields. Atlas Corps works with CSOs in a wide variety of fields related to the Millennium Development Goals.

Corporate Partners:

Atlas Corps seeks to partner with corporations, typically multinational companies, but also corporations large and small located in Washington, DC and Baltimore. Corporate partners are funders who are choosing to invest in our model of social change, but also benefit from opportunities to interact with some of the rising citizen leaders in other countries. Corporate Partners who donate $20,000 a year are invited to interact with Fellows at networking dinners twice a year as well as opportunities to mentor Fellows on a more personal level during their Fellowship. Other corporate partners could support Atlas Corps with in-kind donations and receive global recognition for their generosity. For more information on corporations, visit this page.

Academic Partners:
Atlas Corps is seeking to partner with academic institutions in the east coast of the U.S. to provide ongoing educational opportunities for the Atlas Corps Fellows. Partnerships could range from helping with the training program to providing a speaker at the continuing education program for Fellows on subjects related to the nonprofit sector.

U.S. Community Based Organization:
Atlas Corps is seeking to partner with community organizations like religious groups, community associations, Rotary Clubs, etc. who want to support international service. U.S. CSOs located on the east coast could host a dinner and speech for one of the Atlas Corps Fellows. CSOs could raise funds to sponsor a Fellow and then interact with that Fellow during his or her fellowship.

U.S. Student Groups:
Atlas Corps is seeking to partner with student groups who want to support international service. No one better than students understand the global nature of today's world and the importance for not only countries, but nonprofit organizations to work together across borders. Perhaps community service organizations (like Alpha Phi Omega or an Environmental Club), or cultural groups (like a Latin American or South Asian Society), would be willing to partner with Atlas Corps. Partnership would mean helping sponsor a Fellow from overseas. Depending on the level of partnership it would also include having a speaker come to your campus, either the founder of Atlas Corps, Scott Beale, and/or the Fellow the organizations sponsored. Atlas Corps would provide the tools to help the organization raise the funds through a fundraising party.
