Last weekend I had the honor to volunteer with GREENPEACE USA on board the Arctic Sunrise while it was on a few days stop in Norfolk, VA.

The Arctic Sunrise is a GREENPEACE ice breaker ship currently going down the east coast to address offshore drilling and seismic blasting and plastic pollution in the oceans. The trip started from the Netherlands and with stops in New York and Virginia, the ship will continue its way to Antarctica and dropping some sustainability supplies for a project aiming to rebuild Puerto Rico.

I had the chance to have lunch with the captain and the amazing crew and volunteers from all over the world demonstrating that activism comes in many forms.

At night, the ship crew and visitors enjoyed a live concert by Lobo Marino, all of us are trying to adapt and help people through climate change issues. It was great !
