Facebook, Twitter and Google were grilled on Russian Election Interference

November 1, 2017, the Senate Intelligence Committee held open hearings on Social Media Influence in the 2016 U.S. Elections. It was 17th open hearings this year, and 12 of them were about Russia and it’s interference in the elections.

The Committee members grilled Facebook, Twitter and Google representatives on Russian disinformation, VOA reports.

Facebook, Twitter and Google have acknowledged that entities traced to Russia used phony accounts and other tactics to spread inflammatory messages and fake advertising that reached millions of Americans in 2015 and 2016.

You can watch the entire hearings on the Senate Intelligence Committee website.
