What I love so much about USA is everything! The different cultures, life styles, the nature, the diversity.

One of the unique facts about USA is that you can walk down in the street and meet with people of many different backgrounds, religions and ethnicity.

Large pieces of lands for enjoyment where people can spend good time during their vacations are seen.

Every time I get asked about my favorite place, I can’t give a certain answer!

While I understand why people ask me this question as a fellow in the United States, I quickly answer: I like White Plains!

White plains is a city of Westchester county, a county in the state of New York. It is  the second most populous county on the mainland of New York, it has 6 cities, 19 towns and 23 villages.

After a period of awesome but intensive two weeks orientation with an overseas fellowship organization like “Atlas Service Corps”, I had my destination to NYC to join the IBM great team of Corporate Service Corps program which delivers excellence in leadership development and impact for communities facing critical challenges while demonstrating IBM’s innovation in skills, technology and citizen diplomacy.

CSC program management team is centrally located at IBM Corporate Headquarters in Armonk NY

In IBM, you become influenced by technology, business analysis and consulting atmosphere! ‘Big Blue’ is a slang term that is used to refer to IBM Corporation and it simply means a big blue world! It’s necessary to be aware about the corporation’s terms, it’s not uncommon to say “I’m going to give a blue Monday record” if I want to communicate with a team of employees from different business units and different regions.

IBM grants a lot of great capacity building opportunities, an IBM fellow as well as IBMers can join their blue club and enroll at IBM Think Academy where different valuable online training courses such as design thinking, agile, Watson analysis are there… For example, the design thinking training is a self-directed online education program that starts on a subordinate personal learning journey into IBM design thinking, you attend different interactive videos to help developing different core concepts of the Corporation’s Design Thinking, given it’s the first time I receive the training, I’ll go through IBM design thinking practitioner course in which I will get access to foundation and Immerse yourself path modules such as focusing on identifying the right problems to solve.

As for having fun!

It’s really a good chance that people have a lot of fun while they live somewhere at Westchester. If I want to have some fun like going to the beach, doing some hiking, trying some food, going to a festival or biking to Bronx river parkway, etc… I will just check this link http://www.westchestermagazine.com/Westchester-Magazine/May-2008/56-Things-Every-Westchester-Resident-Must-Do/

AND if I really want to relax.. I will just go to Oakland beach or to the Whitby castle!
