Atlas Corps connects leading social change organizations with rising nonprofit leaders from around the world for a yearlong, professional Fellowship that transforms the perspectives of both Fellows and Host Organizations. Through the Fellowship, Atlas Corps is developing leaders, strengthening organizations and fostering innovation in order to address critical social issues across the globe.
The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a budget of $3.5 million; work closely with the part-time chief financial officer (CFO) and supervise the work of a bookkeeper, intern and volunteers. The Controller will have functional responsibility for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration. The Controller will ensure that Atlas Corps has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits (A-133 and standard). The Controller will work closely with program leaders and their staffs, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. In addition, s/he will partner with the COO, senior leadership, and the human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) staff to enhance and better integrate finance, HR, and IT functions.
