CentroNía Seeks Atlas Corps Fellow from Colombia or Ecuador
About CentroNía:
CentroNía is a non-profit community development organization based in Washington, DC that provides early childhood education, before and after school services and comprehensive family support services to working families in DC and suburban Maryland. Services are currently provided at their Columbia Heights headquarters, two satellite sites, and 10 local schools. CentroNía’s mission is to educate children and youth and strengthen families in a bilingual, multicultural community. The organization is strongly committed to the values of social justice, lifelong learning, family health and economic wellness, and community empowerment.
Development Associate - Role Description:
CentroNía is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, resourceful and experienced nonprofit professional from Colombia or Ecuador to join the development team as a CentroNía-Atlas Corps Fellow / Development Associate. Candidates must have 3-8 years of relevant nonprofit experience, a bachelor’s degree, and speak and write English fluently.
CentroNía is a dynamic organization in the midst of dramatic growth, driven by their development office, in partnership with the organization’s leadership and board. The development office’s fundraising operations have become more sophisticated each year and have grown to incorporate expertise in communications, individual giving, and major donor work. The office is still small enough, however, that the Fellow will be able to work in all areas of fundraising, and gain invaluable experience.
The CentroNía-Atlas Corps Fellow will participate in a number of new initiatives, particularly in fundraising efforts and strategies. We expect the Fellow will participate in CentroNía’s communications strategies, helping identify new and sophisticated avenues of donor communications, and assisting with the annual gala event and art show. CentroNía’s non-hierarchical structure is open to significant contributions from new staff.
