"In order to validate and refine the definition of a nonprofit service enterprise, this team conducted a series of interviews with eight exemplary nonprofit organizations. Interviews focused on the nonprofits’ volunteer management processes and programs. The purpose of this research was not to review a statistically relevant sample of nonprofits, but rather to look at high performing organizations to understand why and how they achieve their results."

Atlas Corps Think Tank LINKS Fellow Shares Perspective on Libyan Civil Society
Mahmoud Bader (Libya, Class 14, Host: Project on Middle East Democracy) is a co-founder of the Libyan civil society organization H2O that was established in 2011 during the Libyan revaluation to help raise public awareness and participation in the political and democratic transitional phase. In his early work with H20, Mahmoud created a project called "eye on the congress" which started with the launch of the GNC in 2012. the objective of this project is to observe the functionality of the GNC. The talk was part of the third annual AMENDS Summit at Stanford University. AMENDS is a student initiative that brings together the most promising youth change agents from across the Middle East, North Africa, and United States to learn from each other, connect with global leaders and resources, and share, through TED style talks, their ideas and experiences with the world.
