Organizations, Foundations & Foreign Funders
The Atlas Service Corps hopes to raise $200,000 from Organizations and Foundations over the next three years (by December 31, 2008. This will be 20% of our $1 million fundraising goal and represent only 7% of the overall budget, since two-thirds of the Atlas Corps budget is paid for by the US CSO cost share. While not a large amount of money, this $200,000 represents a critical piece of the pie for Atlas Corps to achieve a diverse, solid fundraising base.
Foundation Support
Atlas Corps seeks support from community, national, international and corporate foundations for support. Early support from foundations is critical to get the organization off the ground. Please consider investing in the Atlas Service Corps. Atlas Corps hopes to raise $280,000 in foundation support by January 1, 2007 and an additional $280,000 by January 1, 2008.
Organizational Support
Atlas Corps seeks to develop partnerships and seeks support from a wide variety of organizations such as Universities, Academic Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Faith-Based Groups, Indian-American Associations and Colombian-American groups. For $800 a community organization or university can sponsor a Fellow and have that Fellow come and speak at their organization.
Foreign Funders
Atlas Corps seeks to develop partnerships foreign funders. In years three through ten, Atlas Corps hopes that 50% of the money that Atlas Corps needs to raise for each Fellow will come from the country of origin of the Fellow. After year ten, the Host cost-share will nearly cover the Fellow expenses so foreign (and local) fundraising needs will be very limited.
