Will you eventually have volunteers from one global south country go to another global south country?

What does "Scale" mean to Atlas Corps? How does Atlas Corps define success?

Will you eventually have volunteers from the U.S. go overseas?

Yes. This may happen as early as the third year and as late as the sixth year. There are currently so many programs that allow U.S. citizens to volunteer abroad, we are trying to fill a void that prevents overseas leaders from volunteering in the U.S.

Where do you plan to expand next?

Probably Mexico as the next source country and New York City as the next destination locations. However, this depends on our funders, on the success of the pilot and other variable. Eventually we hope to expand all around the world.

Will you eventually have volunteers from one global south country go to another global south country?

Yes. VSO is a British organization that has already begun this type of volunteer exchange, but we believe an HIV/AIDS leader from South Africa could go to New Delhi for a year and learn a lot and share their perspectives at the same time.

What does "Scale" mean to Atlas Corps? How does Atlas Corps define success?

We’re glad you asked. Scale means nearly 300 participants by the 10th year and potentially 2,000 Fellows per year in the 20th year. However, scal properly includes the thousands more affected by the word of the Atlas Corps Fellows. Be sure to read the PDF on Scale Success for us relates directly back to our mission of increasing global cooperation. We have measurable metrics to define success articulated in the business plan.
