SMRC was founded by Saul Garlick in Denver, Colorado in 2001 after a coffee-table conversation with friends about the state of education and the lack of student voices in the shaping of public policy and the national agenda. It has since grown to be a national organization endorsed by The Nelson Mandela Foundation with an esteemed Board of Advisors including Ambassadors, academics and business leaders. Program Director, Youth Outreach - Role Description: SMRC is seeking a highly motivated, resourceful and experienced nonprofit professional from Colombia or Ecuador to join the team as a SMRC-Atlas Corps Fellow / Program Director, Youth Outreach. Candidates must have 3-8 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree, and speak and write English fluently. In addition to increasing visibility and creating new university chapters, this person will also be responsible for coordinating campus events, organizing conferences and national initiatives, creating and implementing campus fundraisers, designing all PR materials and communicating with chapter leaders. Administrative tasks will account for approximately 10% of the work and include compiling packets, postage and other general office activities. Qualifications/background:
